A Colorado bear prowling for food got more than he had bargained for when he stepped inside a car attracted by the peanut butter and jelly sandwich that lay on the back seat.

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning last Friday, in Larkspur, Colorado. After deftly opening the door of the unlocked 2008 Toyota Pickup, the large bear was trying to cram himself inside the car, when he inadvertently hit the car's automatic transmission into neutral. This sent the car rolling backwards about 38ft. off the driveway into a steep embankment, before finally coming to a halt in a thicket of trees.

Alerted by the car's horn that the bear kept pressing on, as he tried to wriggle around, the car's owner, 17-year old Ben Story called 911. Using a rope to open the car from a distance, police deputies released the stunned bear, which quickly scampered away from the now trashed car, but not without leaving a nice gift - a pile of poop on the front seat!
