OMG, I LOVE the Dork Diary series! I’ve read all of the books, and they’re one of my favorite series! It’s about a dorky girl named Nikki who goes through middle school. She experiences a lot of drama and heartbreak. I think the book series are great for people who like dramedy (drama + comedy)!
I just love it😀

The WCD Sweetheart dance means everything for Nikki! It's girls ask the guys, and Nikki is dying to ask Brandon Robberts (Her crush) to the dance! Everyone's falling into valentine's spirit. But Mackenzie is also trying to manipulate Brandon, into going to the dance with her! Everything goes from very happy to completely cruddy! First, she wants to get the tickets for her and her friends, but they sold out! After a little surprise from Chloe and Zoey (Her best friends) she gets tickets! But when she decided to ask Brandon using the card method, that was totally embarrassing! Ms. Kincaid her teacher, finds the card! She asks Nikki to see her after class! And then, Brandon texts Nikki saying he can't make the date he and her were gonna go on! Nikki's life just became a pile of . . . um, crud. But when Nikki finally asks Brandon at their date after all that mix-ups and is so excited on the night of the dance, he texts her saying he has the flu! Nikki is heartbroken, but she still goes to the dance. And that's a good thing, because Marcus, (Chloe's date) says that Brandon is here! Nikki doesn't believe him, but goes to look with her own eyes. And yes, he's there with . . .MACKENZIE HOLLISTER! Nikki is heartbroken, and runs to the bathroom, where she believes no one can find her. But soon enough, Brandon's in there, trying to talk to her. On and off on and off arguing, and Nikki finally forgives Brandon for acting strange. Brandon also tells Nikki that his phone has been lost, and Nikki is relieved that he hadn't been telling her those things. So they have a hunch of someone who might have stolen the phone, and set a trap. Meanwhile, they go to the dance, and have a good time. Principal Winston is about to announce the winners of the Sweetheart Dance Princess, but Mackenzie has one more trick up her sleeve. She claims Brandon, Marcus and Theo hanged these awful pictures of Nikki when Ms. Bri Bri did her hair. But, Principal Winston calls out the name, and it's Mackenzie! Hold up. Wait, no it's not. OMG! HE JUST CALLED NIKKI MAXWELL! Nikki's called up and is so happy her night went well at the end. After she's gifted a amazing tiara, they find out it was someone with blond hair extensions, wearing designer platforms, and manicured nails was the one who stole Brandon's phone. I'll leave you to guess that. The rest of the night is good, and Nikki is living her dream now. Happy reading!
