By making him human.
After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disoriented, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus's favor.
But Apollo has many enemies-gods, monsters, and mortals who would love to see the former Olympian permanently destroyed. Apollo needs help, and he can think of only one place to go . . . an enclave of modern demigods known as Camp Half-Blood.

Trials of Apollo is a great book for those of us who like Percy Jackson or other Greek mythology. In the book Apollo is punished by Zeus and turned mortal, to regain immortality, he must show bravery, courage and save them from Python, the evil snake god. But to do that, he must go through 3 roman emperors. Trials of Apollo is a great book and I love it. I got the series for Christmas and it hasn't disappointed me yet. Go Greek mythology!
This book was great! You should definitely read this book once you have read Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Heroes of Olympus. Recommended for ages 10+.
Apollo has always loved being a god. Back then, he didn't even need to practice his archery skills and still be good! Back then, he could say something, and mortals would instantly do it! But now, Apollo has become a mortal. It started when his son, Octavion, from the roman camp for demigods, Camp Jupiter, attacked Camp Half-Blood. Now, Apollo has been blamed by Zeus! Apollo needs to complete endless trials and challenges to become a god again. Upon arriving at Camp Half-Blood, Apollo discovers something shocking: his enemy, Python, has broken free from his prison and wants to destroy him! Also, a grove of talking trees is leading campers into the forest! And yet another thing is that a mysterious new enemy wants to take over the world! How in the world will Apollo defeat his foes? This book was ridiculous, and I learned a lot of Greek mythology from reading it!
This book is awesome! It has a lot of action and laughs! I highly recommend it!
this is an awesome book and everyone should read it, of course after you read the books that come before it but it is funny and i rate it 6/5 "you are gorgeous and people love you"-Apollo
The Trials of Apollo is a funny and from the other Rick Riordan books is going to have some sad parts at the end but it takes Greek mythology (which i happen to be into) and the modern day world and and puts them together to make an extraordinary book.
I recommend this series to anyone and everyone!!! Its a action packed series with lots of twists and turns. Have fun!!!
Zeus is quite bad to Apollo
I am so excited to read this book! I heard several people saying it is an AWESOME book! Rick Riordan is a great author and I read the 'Percy Jackson' series and 'The Heroes of Olympus' , If you read them, I think you'll know why I love it! I will ask my mom to buy me the series once Rick Riordan writes the last book;' The Tower of Nero'!
