The Phantom Tollbooth is about a kid named Milo who is always bored. This book uses play on words and teaches you about words and numbers while having fun. This book is in my favorites because it teaches and entertains at the same time! I would recommend this book to kids in grades four to five because it contains some complicated words. This book has everything I love, humor, fun learning and most importantly a captivating story line.

For Milo, everything’s a bore. When a tollbooth mysteriously appears in his room, he drives through only because he’s got nothing better to do. But on the other side, things seem different. Milo visits the Island of Conclusions (you get there by jumping), learns about time from a ticking watchdog named Tock, and even embarks on a quest to rescue Rhyme and Reason! Somewhere along the way, Milo realizes something astonishing. Life is far from dull. In fact, it’s exciting beyond his wildest dreams. . . .
Features an appreciation by Maurice Sendak, award-winning author of Where the Wild Things Are!

I liked this book I think it could have had another book but besides that I think it was really good. The other problem I had was that they left me at a cliff hanger but I really liked all the adventure. I would recommend it to really anyone in 3-any other grade it is really good. I love how he learned something new whoever he met and how people could really change somebody in a positive way. I love the adventure in this book and the, mystery in this book and the, learning in this book. I love how he changed from being emo and hated learning to be curious not emo and loved learning new things. I love to see him meet new people in the land beyond. Actually my favorite part of this whole book is all the imagination from Milo and all of the other people he met on the way and it is really fun to read a book that talks about imagination and fantasy but also how he thought his call was important weather or not it was important and when he finally saved them he was so happy because he thought , and cared about saving them and not just himself. I love this book and I hope you like it too.
It was ok my teacher made me read it
Nice
Milo is a young boy who never knows why anything happens or why anything works so when he gets a surprise package with a small, purple tollbooth inside you can imagine what surprise he got. When he and his little automobile go through the tollbooth he finds adventurers everywhere. To find out what happens next go ahead and give it a shot. You won't regret it.
the book is SO funny and SO hard to turn away and look at something else besides the book. It's about a boy called Milo, who doesn't think positive and thinks everything is boring. 'till he finds a land of mysterious and wonder, And he has a daring quest and a fun time with his friends!!
The Phantom Tollbooth is a book about a boy named Milo, who thinks everything is boring. Milo gets a package one day, even though he didn’t order anything. What could this mysterious package be? This is one of Norton Juster’s many books, including The Dot and The Line (1963), Neville (2011), The Hello Goodbye Window (2005), and many more. The story is about a young boy named Milo who goes on an adventure in a realm of imagination. The book stars 4 main characters named, Milo a human who was always bored, Tock a watchdog with a clock on his side, The Spelling Bee a bee who spells everything correctly, and The Humbug, a beetlelike creature. The main characters had to rescue two princesses, Rhyme and Reason. They had to cross many demons on their adventure to rescue Rhyme and Reason. My favorite character was the Mathemagician mainly because of 2 reasons. 1. Math is my favorite subject. 2. I like magicians. This book is one of my favorite books, as it makes you feel like you're part of a movie. I definitely recommend this book to everyone in the whole wide world. I think that people who like adventure books, and movies would really enjoy this. Well, that’s my review, and I hope this could get you to try the book, and if it did, I hope you enjoyed it.
