Best-selling author Rick Riordan introduces this adventure by Roshani Chokshi about twelve-year-old Aru Shah, who has a tendency to stretch the truth in order to fit in at school. While her classmates are jetting off to family vacations in exotic locales, she'll be spending her autumn break at home, in the Museum of Ancient Indian Art and Culture, waiting for her mom to return from her latest archeological trip. Is it any wonder that Aru makes up stories about being royalty, traveling to Paris, and having a chauffeur?
One day, three schoolmates show up at Aru's doorstep to catch her in a lie. They don't believe her claim that the museum's Lamp of Bharata is cursed, and they dare Aru to prove it. Just a quick light, Aru thinks. Then she can get herself out of this mess and never ever fib again.
But lighting the lamp has dire consequences. She unwittingly frees the Sleeper, an ancient demon whose duty it is to awaken the God of Destruction. Her classmates and beloved mother are frozen in time, and it's up to Aru to save them.
The only way to stop the demon is to find the reincarnations of the five legendary Pandava brothers, protagonists of the Hindu epic poem, the Mahabharata, and journey through the Kingdom of Death. But how is one girl in Spider-Man pajamas supposed to do all that?

Till now this book has been pretty good, i would say read it because it has great story and plot and its very mysterical in some places, It has cliffhangers and everything else you would expect from a book, and its pretty good and of course the way its worded is amazing and so nice to understand.

I may have already written a review for this book, but if you are looking for a great book to read, you’ve found it! I especially recommend this book for fans of Percy Jackson and other Rick Riordan books. It is all about Indian mythology, and I enjoyed it so much!

Aru Shah has had one job her whole life. Never to light the sacred lamp in the hall of gods. But what could possibly go wrong? When her friends catch her red-handed in a lie because her mom barely pays attention to her, she is forced to light the lamp to make sure she isn't exposed in front of her own school. The Sleeper awakes, and time stops around the lamp. The Sleeper is destined to wake up the god to end all time, stopping time along the way. Aru Shah is left with the heaving lifting of saving the world, but not alone. She and a friendly spirit bird head over to meet the other Pandava brother, Mini. They aren't actually brothers, but are in fact girls with the souls of the almighty Pandava brothers. Will Aru Shah and Mini be able to save the world in time? Will the world end? Or will secrets hide the path to victory? Or new budding revelations separate the group? To find out, read Aru Shah and the End of Time, which I give 5 stars. I recommend this to anyone who loved the Percy Jackson Series by Rick R.

Aru sometimes stretched the truth so she can fit into her private middle school. When three of her classmates show up on her doorstep they catch her in her lie. They wound't believe that the Lamp of Bharata was cursed and they dared her to light it. Aru never understood lighting the lamp would destroy her world. She accidentally frees the Sleeper, the one who is determined to awaken the God of Destruction. The only way to stop the demon is find the five mythical Pandava brothers in the kingdom of death. How a teenage girl in spider-man jammies supposed to do all of that?
