Counting by 7s is such an inspiring book! For some reason, it reminded me of Wonder. Willow is a very, very smart girl. She is also adopted. One day, she comes home from school and finds out that her parents died in a car crash. She now has to navigate this hard world with her guidance counselor, her new friend, her friend's mom, her friends brother, and a taxi driver. She didn't know it at the time, but she changed the lives of all those people in very special ways. This book is very touching and makes you think. I loved it!

This looks like a really good book to read. it looks like a sad book but i bet its really good and sentimental. I really would like to read this book soon! :)
I was sad at first when I learned that the girl's parents died but when people took her to live with them, I loved their relationship. At the end, the girl ends up finding a home and an awesome family.
This book almost made me cry when I ended it. In the book, Willow, the main character, is obsessed with the number seven. In one part of the story her whole life changed due to one incident, but it caused new people to enter her life. I recommend this book for anyone that likes to swim against the tide.
this book is a book full of all good intention. It's a beautiful story with so many different families. this book is all about the deep conections that form between different people and most of all its about survivng adversity. this is why i love this book. I love a book that talks about real world problems such as things like adversity which is big in the world today! I recommened this to all readers in need of a heart felt and touchung story like this!

She is at a pick nick with her parents. Her parents leave her behind with her sister and an Dell Duke. When they got home the police were there one of the police officers asked to speak to Dell alone. There were only four words Willow could hear, " there has been an accident. The 2 people she loved most were dead. Willow got foster parents later that day.
Willow Chance is a 12 year old genius. She likes talking to plants and diagnosing medical conditions. But Willows world id turned upside down when her parents die in a tragic car crash. You would think this would be a sad book but it's actually a very uplifting and inspiring book.
This was a very moving story. Willow is a child genius with a passion for plants, although she does not show her brilliance in school. But she is accused of cheating on a test and is forced to see a school counselor who has no enthusiasm for his job. Then both of her adoptive parents suddenly die, and she if left alone. She is taken in by a newly found friend and her family, but in order for it to be legal, lies are told. Will Willow recover? Will she be taken away from her new family? I loved this book and rate it 5 of 5 stars. I recommend it to everybody, and it focuses on child loss and mourning. I really liked this book, although some topics may be above younger children's comprehension. Also, be aware that at the beginning of the book it is hard to follow, but if you stick with it the story line is explained.

This book is great! I'd definitely recommend it for a nice, long summer read. Read this book to travel with plant lover Willow on the long roller-coaster of her life.
