Monsters under your bed aren't real right? At least that's what everyone has taught you! What if I were to say that isn't true? There are monsters. But who fights them? What you might least expect, your teddy bear! Spark is Loretta's teddy bear, brought to life by her Dusa's love! Spark's job is to protect her Dusa, which is usually a very easy task. But ever since Loretta's friend went missing a monster, Jakmal has started appearing. Good thing Loretta's brother, Matthew has a bear name Sir Reginald to help! But....the weird thing is he's gone missing too! Worst yet Jakmal captures Matthew! How will Spark and her teddy bear friends unite and defend their Dusa's without the help of the League of Ursus? I loved this book! I love the idea of it. I needed a very satisfying book to read and this was perfect! I would Highly recommend it!!! Thank you Advanced Reviewer Club! - B
Spark is a teddy bear who belongs to Loretta. But unbeknownst to Loretta and her brother, Matthew, Spark and her friend Sir. Reginald (Matthew’s bear), they are really members of the League of Ursus. I read a book much like this over the summer, and this book is very different. I liked it, but it is definitely not my favorite.
Spark and the League or Ursus is a really interesting book set in a world where stuffed animals can come to life. It's about a teddy bear named Spark who is still learning to become a great protector for her human, Loretta. All of a sudden, a monster gets into Loretta's room through a magical portal to try and kidnap Loretta while she's asleep and Spark is barely able to stop it. The next day, Loretta's brother is kidnapped by the same monster. Spark is desperate to protect Loretta, and she and her mentor, Sir Reginald, work to try and take down the monster. The book is very unique, such as having a fight scene filled with teddy bears. However, it can seem a bit slow and boring at times. But in the end, it's a great story with a great conclusion.
Spark is a teddy bear.she is sworn to protect her dusa Loretta .for a long time now she has been sitting on shelf not being cuddled or played with.but one day Loretta starts to sleep with spark again.Spark was starting to wonder if everything was ok.sir Reginald is like the leader of the bears..Mathew is Sir Reginalds dusa and he lives in the room next to Loretta ,every night they tap on the closets walls to make sure everything is going ok.the next morning the family got up with there boots and raincoats on .Spark over heard that Sofia - Matthew and Lorettas friend from school- goes missing.a couple nights later spark goes to tap on the closets wall.she doesn't hear anything back.she starts to get worried.a lot of noise was happening a couple nights later and she heard Mathew and sir Reginald yell .the next day the family goes looking for Mathew.Spark finds out that now she has to find sir Reginald and Mathew.now she resizes that the thing that took sir Reginald and Mathew is coming for spark.Spark finds all of the other stuffed animal friends to try to help her find them.does it work?do they find Mathew and sir Reginald???you'll have to read the rest of the book to find out.this was a great book!I recommend it to all ages.I couldn't put this book down!also this is my first advanced readers group book!I'm very thank ful for it dogo team!!!thank u for reading my review!-Pizzagirl7
Have you ever wondered if your stuffed animal's come alive when you're not looking? I have. And this book almost makes you believe they do! Spark is a teddy bear. She protects her dusa, (The best friend she is sworn to protect from monsters) Loretta. For a while she's been sitting on a shelf. But when Loretta starts sleeping with Spark again, Spark thinks something might be up. However she loves being snuggled again that she puts it out of her mind. When Loretta's friend, Sofia, from school goes missing, Spark is now more suspicious that something is going on. When a monster like nothing that Spark's seen before comes in Loretta's room trying to take her, she tries to look for her friend for his wisdom on what to do, but he's also missing. When the monster takes Loretta's brother, Spark must rally up with other stuffed animals to stop the monster and save the missing kids. This book was SUPER GOOD. Very very hard to put down.
Have you ever had those toys that mattered so much to you? That you sobbed over every time you misplaced them? That you mothered like they were your baby. Every night you would hold your baby close. When you were terrified of the lightning, they were there right by your side. Everyone scoffs at thinking of hugging close that stuffy they once loved. "To babyish!" They would say. What if that love you had for that toy brought it to life. What if through all the years they lay by your side, they were protecting you from the monsters you thought you had imagined. What if your darling teddy bear that sat on your bed, all fluffy and sweet, was a warrior. Reading this book will remind you of your furry friends and how special they are. Spark is a teddy bear. And you see a teddy bear's job is not only to have a free hug whenever there may be the need, but they also must protect their dusas (best friends). But one night, a monster different from any Spark had ever heard of appeared in Lorretta's (Spark's Dusa) room. After somehow surviving the night, Spark must come up with a way to stop the monster when he returns. But Spark's friend is missing. But after Loretta's brother goes missing, Spark must rally forces and stop this monster once and for all. But will Spark and her friends be able to stop the monster, or will it take Loretta nad all her friends?
This is one of the best books I have ever read, and I would totally recommend everyone reads it. Robert Repino narrates this story through a teddy bears perspective and that is amazing, which is what makes this book so much better. The way he brings an everyday object to life is truly wonderful. I loved this book and after reading the first chapter I could simply not put it back down, I had to finish the whole book because it was just that good. This book is about a teddy bear named Spark who has been brought to life by Loretta's love. Sparks duty is to protect Loretta and her family and that is what she does. One night Spark sees a monster, and this monster wants to take Loretta, it is up to Spark to save the day and protect Loretta. She gathers up her teddy bear friends and makes a strategic plan on how to defend the family from this monster. With Loretta's love and Sparks braveness will Spark be able to protect her family? read to find out!!
