!!!This book is one of my favorite chilren's book!!! Roald Dahl is very descriptive with his writing which is really captivating. Sophie and the BFG...the BFG and Sophie...they are some of my favorite bffs i've read about. BFG, being Sophie only friend at first, stands for Big Friendly Giant. He is not your average giant, theres your Childchewer, your Gizardgulper, Fleshlumpeater, Bloodbottler, Butcherboy, but the BFG is different mainly because he doesnt gobble up human beans. but also because he collects dreams for sleeping children. of course...being a giant and all, the BFG never went to school so his langwitch are curflumpity. Roald Dahl makes this book hilarious with the giants funny words and speech. the creates an entire new world human beans never knew about consiting of Stinky Snozzcumbers and Wifty Frobscottle! I am a Highschooler an i loved this kids books dearly. other teens at my school would think its probably silly and dumb. but its NOT, dumb that is...I GREATLY RECOMMEND THE BFG BY ROALD DAHL!!! -Enderwiggin

The Big Friendly Giant is a great book . a lot of people have read it because it is so good ! My favorite part is when the mean giants suffer in the pit at the end.
The BFG is amazing and awesome! I really loved this book. Sophie is a eight year old orphan girl living in England. One night when all is still and there is not a sound ( the witching hour ) Sophie cannot sleep. Then suddenly she sees a huge figure all in black hiding in the shadows and creeping down the street. Just as suddenly the creature turns around and looks right at Sophie. Then it reaches an enormous arm through the window and snatches Sophie up and carries her away. Sophie learns that the " creature " is actually a giant a big friendly giant. Sophie also learns that there are other giants that gobble up human " beans " every night. When Sophie hears this she is angry and terrified. Together can she and the BFG form a plan to save the world from man eating giants?
