This book is good, funny, and a good family read. There a some twist and and some very funny parts. It's and enjoyable read the giants grammar can be a little hard, so it can take a little bit more advanced reader.
Amazing book. I was also pleased to hear that it was turned into a movie, but I am getting off of topic here. so the BFG is a giant, who catches dreams of children. But soon, he meets a girl named Sophie, a child who was living in an orphanage. The giant takes sophie to his home, and they soon become friends. Although there was conflict about other giants trying to eat children, the BFG manages to keep Sophie safe, and they live happily ever after.
Awesome review, genius1326!
Hey swirlycool...I'm actually following you so that's how I know that you asked how the movie was. So here's my answer. The movie is very good. It's probably the closest to the book as it can be. When you watch it,it looks so real. They did a very good job on clashing the animated chracters with the actors. It's also very funny. Like when the queen and her dogs fart from the drink the giant brings to the castle. The movie shows lots of bravery in Sophie. I know that anyone who watches it will love it. Well, I hope this helps you...
Sophie was snatched out of her orphanage by the BFG in the middle of the night and thought she was going to be eaten. She soon figured out that the BFG was the Big Friendly Giant so she had nothing to be afraid of. Together Sophie and the BFG thought up a plan to make all the other giants stop snatching kids out of their beds and eating them.
that is a good book
I love this book it gave me a lesson that even if you are small you can help something bigger then yourself
i love the book and im lokking forward to watch the movieeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really love this book. It's pretty short but the story is very joyful. The BFG is a good giant, he intrigued me with his own language from the first. Sophie is a girl kidnapped from her bed and her adventure just begins when she and the BFG have to stop the ruthless giants before they devour all of human beans. Dahl could create the book that hooked me from the beginning and the ending of this book was so delightful, I felt very happy after I finished it. I like his writing style, it captivates me to no end
OMG I so agree with you pandagirl37!!! I read the BFG with my Advanced Reading 1st grade class and it was AMAZING!!! The trailers crack me up. :)>
