I love this book! It tells the story of a girl who has a sister famous for her beauty, and she has to save the day because she is the only one untouched by magic! She has the personality of a person who would normally be a sidekick in a book, but I think her personality is perfect for a book like this! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes twists on fairy tales!

In this new stand-alone fairy tale, Princess Annie is the younger sister to Gwen, the princess destined to be Sleeping Beauty. When Gwennie pricks her finger and the whole castle falls asleep, only Annie is awake, and only Annie-blessed (or cursed?) with being impervious to magic-can venture out beyond the rose-covered hedge for help. She must find Gwen's true love to kiss her awake.
But who is her true love? The irritating Digby? The happy-go-lucky Prince Andreas, who is holding a contest to find his bride? The conniving Clarence, whose sinister motives couldn't possibly spell true love? Joined by one of her father's guards, Liam, who happened to be out of the castle when the sleeping spell struck, Annie travels through a fairy tale land populated with characters both familiar and new as she tries to fix her sister and her family . . . and perhaps even find a true love of her own.

This book was amazing and I loved it. It is so couragous of Annie to go and find a prince for her sister out of love.
An amazing book by E.D. Baker. It is Gwendolen's 16th birthday. Her present is a mini spindel. The princess gets pricked and the whole castle, except for Annie falls asleep. Annie has to go and find her sister's prince charming so she can wake up. The second book in the series, Unlocking the Spell, is a great book as well. (Sorry for any spelling errors)
I loved this book! It is proboly my my top three favorite. I love the part where Annie leaves to help. She doesn't have to, but she does because she loves her sister. I also wish I had her gift. No spell apron her...LOVE THIS BOOK! If you read it you'll be attached. I couldn't stop reading. I read it in ONE DAY! This book has both action and romance!
liam and annie make such a cute couple!
catsrule is totally right and mermaid_lover should read A Princess In Disguise if she hasn't already
loving this book so far. it is just like slepping beauty except the author changed it a little to make it more entertaining. my favorite part so far is when gwendolen [sleeping beauty] opens her presents from her 16th birthday and one present is this tree and you crank a key and i think it turns into a bird and then she cranks another key and it turns into an egg and then she cranks another key and then the egg splits into 4 pieces and the egg lets out a gold object with gems and the princess gwendolen catches it as the object almost hits the ground. but little did the princess know that it was a minnie spindle that was sent in by the witch she fell into a deep sleep.i know that my favorite part was long but it was interesting . i recommend this book to people who love fairy tales with a twist in it. this book is for grade 3 and up. it is a novel witch means no pictures.so if your looking for pictures this might not be the best book for you. it is very interesting . i hope you enjoy it.
