This is.an amazing book. To me it teaches a lesson in friendships and whether you should let other people's view on that particular person influence your friendship. Kit is the main character and she is from Barbados.

About a girl who has to make a decision about her friends. A very good book for kids who have a decision to make about the kind of person the are going to be.
Kit is a young girl from Barbados. Her grandfather has recently died, and she is going to America to meet and live with her aunt, uncle, and cousins. She is traveling to the colony of Connecticut where the Puritans lived. Wile, she was there she met the "witch of blackbird pond" Hannah Tupper. People believed she practices witchcraft in turn, she had been shunned from society.
I REALLY liked this book! Kit seemed like such a nice lady, I just fell in love with the book immediately! I don't think it's a book for young kids but it can capture the attention of many. I recommend this book for all ages older than maybe seven. I don't know what other people might think but I feel that younger kids might not enjoy reading this quite as much.
Very fun. Not for slightly younger kids, though. It's about a girl who moves to Puritan Connecticut, and makes friends with a woman who people think is a witch. Then people start thinking the girl's a witch, which she's not.
I good descriptive book about a girl named Kit in the 1600's. She got on a boat from Barbados after her wealthy grandpa died to go live with her only relatives in Puritan Connecticut in when the first patriots formed and it was owned by England.
I didn't like this book very much
I really liked this book because of all the adventure. Firstly, Kit's grandpa dies so 14 year old Kit goes to live with with her only family. Kit's aunt and uncle live all the way in Connecticut but Kit lives in England. Read this book the find out what happens to Kit.
I didn't like this book. I usually like this kind of book, but this one was a little boring.
I love this book! My dad read this to me and my brothers-I didn't want it to end! It is (sort of) a little bit like Laura Ingalls Wilder.
