Hot off the best-seller list, Big Nate is in a class by himself. This spunky 11-year-old holds the school record in detentions, but that doesn’t stop him from dreaming big!

Big Nate is taking it from the top—the top of the troublemaker's list!

Nate Wright is eleven years old, four-and-a-half feet tall, and the all-time record holder for school detentions in school history. He's a self-described genius and sixth-grade Renaissance man. Middle-grade kids everywhere can relate to Big Nate's daily battle against overzealous teachers, backbreaking homework, wimpy cafeteria food, and all-around conventionality. This collection features cartoonist Lincoln Peirce's daily and Sunday comic strips packed with his vintage flair and insights into school humor.

it is about a boy who survives middle school. No one really likes him. He acts like he is really cool.he also loves drawing comics.he is the king of nicknames.

The Big Nate books follow eleven-year-old, sixth grader Nate Wright. He might not do well in school and he spends a lot of time in detention, but Nate's a bright kid. He just can't seem to keep his mouth shut and says the wrong thing. He also thinks very highly of himself. BIG NATE FROM THE TOP finds Nate up to his usual antics including dealing with teachers, bad cafeteria food, the class bully, and soccer practices. In addition, in BIG NATE FROM THE TOP Nate's relationship with the local meteorologist is examined, he explores the limits of the concept of "dibs", and attempts to find stolen money from a friend's locker by dressing up as Sherlock Holmes. I love this book

This humorous book was filled with comedy and cartoons! It starts off with an eleven year old boy named Nate Wright. He is starting sixth grade where he learns to adapt (getting detentions) and seeing how sixth grade works and all... He may seem like a troublemaker... actually he is a rebel, getting detention and in trouble, but as you start to read on this light-warming story, you'll see Nate is kind of a genius... he just needs to work hard to get better at using his talents...It was a fun adventure to go along with Nate... after all there were cartoons that made me go.. "OMG!" or I would just start laughing... Seriously my brother thought I was weird laughing all the time when I was reading this book... anyways fans of Diary of the Wimpy Kid or if you are just looking for a light, fun, adventurous, hilarious, school type of read.... then this is perfect for you! Enjoy!

Oh my gosh.. you're back! Do you want to still be a co-judge on "Books Have Words"? (Parody of "America Needs Talents") Your reviews are REALLY interesting.. they are EXTREMELY unique. But one thing is that you always look at the bright side, the silver lining, always positively.. so you would THINK you would give a certain book five stars because of how you describe it, but your rating is different than that, usually :) Even though your reviews are great, it's USUALLY your RATING that shows how you completely feel about this book (counting the negative sides).. And yes, Big Nate is hilarious. I only read the second one though.. remind me to read this one this summer! (Yes, I just critiqued your reviews XDD)

Yes I would LOVE to co-host with you! I feel so privilege... It's just something I do... i notice the negative sides... but I always feel like I'm betraying the author (I know I sound crazy...XD), so instead of writing the negatives.. I rate my true feelings (including the negatives) so I'm not really bad-mouthing the author or anything... And it's kind of a habit... everybody calls me happy/positive girl because I never say anything "mean" and I am always so "bubbly," but I don't feel like I am that positive and bubbly... so I'm guessing it's like second-nature.... so I don't really realize it... That's why I LOVE your reviews... they are straight on honest... and I always seem to agree with your pros+cons... and they are funny... I don't know... this sounds kind of crazy... but when I read your reviews... they ALWAYS make me smile:)...

That's very.. unique. In a good way! And it's nice that you try not to hurt the author's feelings, but I always think of it like this: If the author released a book for people to read, she or he's bound to know that some people will dislike it since people have opinions and even stereotypes. The author won't get mad because of that, so I like to keep both my ratings and my reviews completely honest. However, I'm kind of afraid of hurting people's feelings too.. and often give five stars and skirt around the worst flaws in a book when writing reviews. You're too sweet! Thanks for saying that about my reviews.. yours always makes me smile as well :D

Oh my gosh.. You're back! I really like your reviews :D But anyway, your reviews are REALLY interesting because you name all the positive points of the book and it FEELS like you're going to give it five stars.. but then you don't! Your reviews are pretty much perfect, but I think your rating is what's REALLY on your mind :) Yes, I'm rating your reviews.. LOL...

I was vacationing... but when I had down time... I was reading my books and I was like thinking about DOGO... I missed you guys... Thank you for rating my reviews Miss.Felicisowl... I will soon rate my reviews in "Books Have Words" *Intro music starts coming up, and the audience are clapping along... Soon the announcer comes up and announces, "Welcome co-hosts Miss. Felicisowl and Miss. Bibliophile!" Soon the audience are all pointing and whispering in awe while the two awesome co-hosts come out! Felicisowl comes out with a turquoise strapless gown that comes up to the mid-calves, there are silver lace around the dress giving Miss. Felicisowl a gorgeous look... With silver colored heels and turquoise earrings, everyone is clapping for her look... Now Miss. Bibliophile with her bright violet/purple long sleeved mini dress with a gold belt, heals, and earrings... In the mini dress there are small beads making a intricate design... and everyone as well are clapping for her look* Now what do you think happens next?
