Charlie Joe Jackson may be the most reluctant reader ever born. And so far, he's managed to get through life without ever reading an entire book from cover to cover. But now that he's in middle school, avoiding reading isn't as easy as it used to be. And when his friend Timmy McGibney decides that he's tired of covering for him, Charlie Joe finds himself resorting to desperate measures to keep his perfect record intact.

Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide to Not Reading by Tommy Greenwald is the hilarious story of an avid non-reader and the extreme lengths to which he'll go to get out of reading a book.

Have you ever felt like NOT reading? Well Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide will give you tips for your next read. He will tell you how bad reading is for you. He will say never to read ever again!! If you do not like reading, then I suggest this book for you!!!

This book is about a boy named Charlie Joe Jackson who insists in not reading, and will go to the limits to keep his record. Charlie has NEVER read a book from cover to cover, sadly.

It was a very fun book to read I only read it because of a book report and my teacher laughed.

cool

This was a good book. Though I like to read, Charlie Joe Jackson doesn't. He hates it so much, when he was assigned to read a book over the summer for school, he didn't read a page!

Hilarious! A really funny book and a short read. The concept of the book is also really entertaining. I recommend this book to anyone who likes or HATES to read!

this book can make anyone read

this book has lots of humor and is enertaining

For every reluctant reader. Charlie goes to the most ridiculous lengths to get out of reading assignments when he reaches middle school and his friend refuses to help him anymore. Arguments include reading is evil and makes you fat.
