This book is about a treasured book that was given to Alex and Conner by their grandmother. Little did they know that the book was a way into a magical world called "The Land of Stories." In the Land of Stories, all the fairy tale characters live. When I read this book, I had a sudden urge to finish it. Every second I wasn't reading the book, I wondered about what would happen next. The author really captivates your attention. I would call this book a real page turner. This was an amazing book!

I liked it. It was weird to find out that their grandma was the Fairy God Mother. My favorite part was when the trolls and goblins captured them.
I think it is a good book because it shows the reader what the author thought happened to the fair tale characters later in their lives. It was interesting how Alex and Connor saw all the fairy tale characters and how they were all kings and queens. I think it was interesting what they found out in the end. I recommend this book.
The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer is pretty much a great book. I liked how the characters are like and how the scene of it made me feel a little chill. I recommend this book.
This book had LOTS of potential and I sincerely loved the plot! But, to be honest with you, the writing style was DEFINITELY NOT my favorite.
I want this book!
This is an amazing book of whimsy that let's you solve the riddles and puzzles along with Alex and Connor Bailey as they travel through the land of stories looking for a way home while a dastardly villian is hot on their trail...
Alex and Conner fall into in a world of fairy tales. Alex who loves fairy tales so she got there first. Conner who's usually lazy got in trouble. The Washington Twins Dad died just when it was close to their birthday. I don't want to ruin it but its a great book!
This book was the best book I have read in my life. One day I used to dis like books, but one day my mom bought 2 books Story Bound and The Land Of Stories. Of course There is a ending but hey some books turn out bad. If you like fantasy books this is the book for you. This book is for grades 3rd through 6th grade. Please enjoy this story.
This book was not the best ever, but was okay. Basically, Alex and Conner, two twins, recieve a book from their grandmother entitled "The Land of Stories". It's been in their family for years, and they are hesitant to take it, but eventually they do. That night the book starts humming in Alex's bedroom. She begins experimenting with it and soon falls through the book, with Conner close behind her. They discover a land of the fairytales they grew up with, complete with princesses and kingdoms. But they can't find a way back. They set out to find all the items of "The Wishing Spell" , a spell that requires you to collect different items to grant any wish you like. They set out to find these items, all over the new world they've discovered. Along the way they'll meet an oversized talking frog, goblins, trolls, the Little Mermaid, and lots of other classic fairytale characters, some of which haven't quite lived "Happily Ever After" like the books say. But there's a notorious queen that you've probably heard of yourself who also wants to use the Wishing Spell. It can only be used twice, and it's been used once before... This book is a real thriller and good for people who like twists on fairytales, but I felt that the main characters were getting far too lucky, discovering some wishing spell items completely by accident in a chain of linked events. It was a bit like a "That's Good, That's Bad" story to me. They would do something that you were sure they were going to die doing, but then it would actually be really good because they'd find an item. Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend this to a friend.
