The electrifying #1 New York Times bestselling first installment of the action-packed Michael Vey series from author Richard Paul Evans.

My name is Michael Vey, and the story I’m about to tell you is strange. Very strange. It’s my story.

To everyone at Meridian High School, Michael Vey is an ordinary fourteen-year-old. In fact, the only thing that seems to set him apart is the fact that he has Tourette’s syndrome. But Michael is anything but ordinary. Michael has special powers. Electric powers.

Michael thinks he's unique until he discovers that a cheerleader named Taylor also has special powers. With the help of Michael’s friend, Ostin, the three of them set out to discover how Michael and Taylor ended up this way, but their investigation brings them to the attention of a powerful group who wants to control the electric children – and through them the world. Michael will have to rely on his wits, powers, and friends if he’s to survive.

best book ever read it 20 times

This is the series that my brother introduced me to. I loved it so much, like the Unwanteds and Harry Potter. We started competing to see how fast we would finish, and we would have long conversations about what we read. If we accidentally let something slip, we would apologize but then hastily explain because one of us was excited to hear about it. :) We finished the series in about two weeks, and I told everyone I knew about it! The first one is what really gets you hooked and makes you continue reading. A couple days later I saw a friend at school was reading the last one, and when I complimented the series, we talked all day about it! This is a great read and EVERYONE should read it, old and young both! There is no language issues and it is clean for little kids. I loved it!

Michael Vey book #1. By: Richard Paul Evans, 226 pages. Michael Vey moved to Idaho because he was exposed for his shocking power. He meets a girl named Taylor. She has a similar power to Michael but she can reboot people like computers! Taylor and Michael's Mom gets kidnapped by Dr. Hatch. When Taylor was kidnapped she meet her lost twin sister. I love this book because it is interesting. You can not stop reading it until you finish all 226 pages. This book is sooooo addictive by it's details leave you on a cliffhanger!
