Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

Reading this series for a second time. I love this book and feel like Suzanne Collins should write two more books of this same series, but based on Peeta and Prim's view. I just think it would be cool :)

Best series ever!!!!!!!! This book was just as good as the first, and just as good as the movies. Suzanne Collins is one of the best most creative writers ever! (The best is a.a Milne he is so creative!) Still, this is the best series ever it will make the Harry potter series wet their pants! 100% guaranteed. If you love excitement and a book that is full of cliff hangers I highly recommend this book for you if you are 12 or older.

READ. THIS. BOOK......................NOW...............................

I recommend reading this book because you have to keep reading to keep reading to find out what happens. It also leaves you on a cliff hanger so you have to keeping reading the next book. It is full of suspense and you never know what happens next. It has lots of action too.

Katniss Everdeen has been crowned victor of the annual "Hunger Games" along with Peeta Mellark the male contander for District 12. Which means they have made history being in th first Hunger Games having 2 victors instead of just one. But this is not a good thing for they why they won was not what the President wanted to see and was taken as a sign of rebellion. Katniss and Peeta must continue to pretend to be madly in love with each other so people believe they were just doing as a act of love for each other. But President Snow does not think it's enough and uprisisngs are beginning in other districts. And before Katniss and Peeta can get over their first overwhelmong victory they are pulled into the Quarter Quell where tributes will be picked from past victors. Which means Katniss is back in games being the only female victor of District 12. Peeta also enters back in the games due to him being one out of the two male victors of District 12. And soon they are pulled into a horrible arena which seems to be a clock and strange people who seem to be playing soemthing other then the Hunger Games. The sequel to the amazing "Hunger Games" is just as good as the first even possibly better! I finished in less then 2 days! If you are a teen looking for a action packed fast paced book with the perfect amount of romance tied in this is 100% the book for you!

This is most possibly the WORST (or best depending what you go on) cliffhanger I have encountered in all my reading days. It leaves you more than just hanging, you are grasping for your life on a thread that is fraying and there is nothing to do but hold on (well metaphorically of course). One word that can sum up this book is intense

The 75th Hunger Games is just around the corner, which means there will be a very specific rule-change this year in honor of the Quarter Quell. Katniss and Peeta may have gotten out of their first Games alive, but President Snow proves he is still in charge when the rule-change this year is that the tributes will be taken from the existing pool of victors, meaning Katniss is going back to the games. Haymitch is chosen to go with her, but, bent on keeping Katniss alive, Peeta volunteers to go instead. They stage an engagement between Katniss and Peeta, and, in an act of desperation, Peeta announces that he and Katniss have already married each other in secret and have a child on the way. Once in the games, Katniss and Peeta find they have more allies than they thought. Lots of tributes want to help them, and in doing so, help the rebellion. President Snow seems determined to kill Katniss, though. Will their efforts pay off? Will Katniss and Peeta make it out of the games? And if they do, what will that mean for their families and the rebellion?
