A hilarious Southern debut with the kind of characters you meet once in a lifetime

Rising sixth grader Miss Moses LoBeau lives in the small town of Tupelo Landing, NC, where everyone's business is fair game and no secret is sacred. She washed ashore in a hurricane eleven years ago, and she's been making waves ever since. Although Mo hopes someday to find her "upstream mother," she's found a home with the Colonel--a café owner with a forgotten past of his own--and Miss Lana, the fabulous café hostess. She will protect those she loves with every bit of her strong will and tough attitude. So when a lawman comes to town asking about a murder, Mo and her best friend, Dale Earnhardt Johnson III, set out to uncover the truth in hopes of saving the only family Mo has ever known.

Full of wisdom, humor, and grit, this timeless yarn will melt the heart of even the sternest Yankee.

Mo LoBeau, an orphan living with a retired colonel, creates the Desperado Detective Agency when a murder occurs. Although many do not believe she will be able to solve the case, she may be a lot closer than they think!

Three Times Lucky is a great book. There are a few cases about some murders and murderers. My favorite characters were Dale (a boy) and Mo (a girl), because they never give up either searching for Mo's upstream mother she lost in a hurricane a few weeks after birth! Read it!

LOVE IT! SO GOOD! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I think that the writer is so great. They have a way with words!

Best book ever! At least that's what I'm told.

Overall this book was boring at times but very exciting at others. The most exciting events were about two pages long. The author should have elaborated more on them or made them more dangerous and dramatic. All of the characters changed a lot throughout the book and all of them learned a good lesson. The storyline and characters were very good and I recommend it to others.

this is about a girl who is adopted her name is mo she wants to find her real mother. she is also a natural born detective solving a murder

This is probably one of the worst book I ever read I rate it a 1

Seriously?! My class is reading it as an assignment and it's way too good.

Miss Mo LoBeau is such a strong character. From her mysterious heritage as a hurricane baby (she washed up after a storm) to the man searching for the culprit in a murder case looking into her adoptive family. Some of the content in this book my be unsuitable for younger audiences (violence, drinking). Overall, a good mystery read.
