Actually, I think people are able to resist things better with age, too. Or rather, it just becomes easier to make your own decisions once you have your own values and opinions. Like, before, I could never play violent video games. (I don't like violence anyway, and besides, my parents wouldn't let me) Now I can handle it because I know that I value the lives of well, everyone/thing and my mind just shuts it out. This way I can watch dark stuff without being corrupted by the darkness therein. Resistance in this way is very important, and I am glad I had the chance for it to develop undeterred. WOW. Scientists have a weird habit of just finding any random, totally crazy thing to test like people actually care about them! Like this marshmallow test! I mean, it's funny and entertaining, but in my opinion, who actually needs to know this? Scientists think that this article is proof that the older people get the more resistant they get, but I think this is proof that Scientists find totally irrelevant things. Please follow me! You're absolutely right in which scientists find the craziest things to test people on, but all of these tests represent certain traits & behavior involving our own future. Also, we should care about scientists, because if we didn't have them, we wouldn't have most of the things we have today. So, we should thank & be thankful for the diverse world of scientists - they have provided for us a great amount of discoveries every single day. :DOver 9 years agopookietear added a new comment in

The Hunger Games is the first dystopian themed book I've read and one of my favorites. I first heard of it in 4th grade and I read it then, and loved it. Why did I love it? Well, the combination of the fierce main character, the evil Capitol, and the plot is why. I would definitely recommend you to read this book, especially if you like dystopian themed books <3Over 9 years agopookietear added a new comment in

That is cool but...question: if some animals like red ants or monkeys can tell natural disasters, and cats can predict the weather, why can't humans do it (based on just their senses like these animals)?Over 9 years agopookietear added a new comment in
Well, now I can't use the 5 second rule at all...can't trust nyc ants ;( jk I don't eat anything I drop on the ground.Over 9 years agopookietear's movie review was featured in The Hunger Games.
So basically this movie takes place in the future and it's about (the once North America, now called Panem) and how every year the (evil) Capitol picks a teen boy and girl from 12 districts and they must fight each other to death until only one out of the 24 teens survives. The main character, Katniss, must try to survive in the games. Okay: I watched the movie because I read and liked all the books the movie is based on. Considering the fact that the movie mostly matched the book, I would say this is a good movie :)Over 9 years ago
