National Geographic always has such interesting and informative books, and these ones have a little bit of everything! It will be exciting to see the newest installment in their collection of almanacs.Over 4 years agowatercolrwonder added a book review.
This has been one of my favorite books for years. It's a beautiful story in a futuristic but not-so-unbelievable world where everyone is the same and no one has any choices. The past is not remembered, except by the Giver. He holds the memories of the past for the whole town, the whole world. But his time is fading and the town will have a new Giver: Jonas. But can Jonas handle the weight of all the world?Over 4 years agowatercolrwonder has joined a reading program.

National Geographic always makes such great books! My brothers loved the first three books in this series and I'm sure they'd love to have the next one.Over 4 years agowatercolrwonder added a book review.
It took me a few days to read the first part of this book and a few hours for the second. I couldn't put it down! You know how in a thriller-mystery novel when you find out the bad guy's motivation and it's kind of a let down every time because it was so much more in your mind? This was probably the first book that I did NOT feel that at the end. It was so good! I would highly recommend this book for high school students due to some language.Almost 5 years agowatercolrwonder has read this book.

I have always loved National Geographic's books, and I can't wait to read this new one! I think it is also a very important topic that is often overlooked.About 5 years ago
